What makes your artwork unique?

Clay Monoprinting is a unique process using wet clay as paint, creating many layers and making one of a kind prints. No two will ever be the same.

How do you practice sustainability in your art?

As a culture we waste so many materials. In my art I use a material called Reemay that is made out of recycled water bottles. I love that I can create works of art on a material that is being used for a second purpose. Much better to have my art on the Reemay than to have plastic water bottles in our landfills.

What do you do to give back to nature or your community?

I use non-toxic materials. And the material I print on keeps plastic out of landfills.

What do you hope your art inspires in others?

My art carries with it a message of empowerment and trust in oneself. When someone looks at my art they see not only the top image, but all the layers underneath. My art inspires women to find their inner strength beneath the layers.
